Kaitlin McManus, Professional Art Therapist and Counsellor
Welcome!
My name is Kaitlin McManus and I am a professional Art Therapist, Counsellor and Certified Art Educator.
I work with adults, teens, couples and families. I place great importance on meeting clients where they are at by taking a non-judgmental, inclusive, and client led approach to therapy. I am mindful of sexual orientation, gender, race, age, ability, spiritual beliefs and family situations.
With unconditional positive regard, I strive to guide you in accessing self empowerment and compassion for yourself, important for cultivating the beneficial and lasting changes you wish to see in your life.
I feel that dedication to my own therapeutic process strengthens my capacity and presence with my clients. I am ready to support you on your journey as a result of the work I have done in my own therapy. I can relate to the bravery and vulnerability that is required to attend therapy and cultivate a healing relationship. As a result of receiving and providing therapy, I can attest to the awe inspiring and empowering results and healing relationships that can develop during therapy.
I offer confidential and secure online art therapy via video chat, and online/ phone counselling sessions as well as in-person sessions. I also offer Eco-Art therapy or Counselling sessions outdoors in nature.

Art Therapy
Art Therapy is a process of expressing thoughts and feelings through the use of art materials. In Art Therapy, you will have the chance to draw, paint or build something that can be held in your hands and looked at in many different ways. The way we talk about your artwork can help you see the problems you face in a new way and help you to discover solutions.
Eco-Art Therapy
Eco-Art Therapy usually occurs outdoors in nature, often involving the selection of natural objects or scenery. These natural elements are then artfully combined to create new meaning, an environment or art piece in nature. From here, personal narratives can be constructed and reflected upon to reveal inner parts of the self. Nature acts as a partner in therapy by providing a safe space, chosen by the client, while also encouraging opportunity for healing metaphors about life to spontaneously emerge, providing powerful therapeutic insight.
Counselling
Counselling involves a working partnership between the client and therapist to facilitate client self- knowledge, personal growth, emotional acceptance and development of personal resources and tools to be used in everyday life. Goals are determined as a collaborative process and are worked toward together in a supportive, safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment. Counselling can cultivate the discovery of personal insights, relationship improvements, inner conflict resolution, and many other beneficial life changes and perceptions.
